Is there a way to manage the configuration across multisites?
I would consider adding this as a feature but only if the super admin could administrate it but there will be way too many blogs to do this on a per blog basis.
Cheers
Mike
Hi Mike,
I’m currently doing multisite testing as we speak. Honestly, I’m pretty unfamiliar with multisite… but want to give multisite owners a way to have multiple options as super admin. As I currently understand… the Super Admin can network activate the plugin.. and set the options globally. This will prevent sub-sites from accessing the plugin settings page… but they will still have access to the editor functionality set by the Super Admin.
As far as NOT network activating… and giving access to each individual sub-site… has been problematic. It is here that I will need to re-write much of the code to be multisite compatible.
If you would ever like to help me develop, debug, test, etc… please use my contact form in the main nav above.. and send me a personal email.
Thanks Mike!!
Hi Josh
Thanks for letting me know about your understanding of multisite.
There are a couple of different ways to approach this.
If the settings are just read in from the code and not the database then the best way to do this is with a functionality plugin that is activated across the site (probably network activation but necessarily). This yields the result where every blog has the same configuration. I would suggest looking at Advanced Custom Fields as an example of how to go up this. In that case, the plugin exports its settings to be used in a theme’s functions.php which works for me because the multisite I am designing uses the same child theme throughout.
In the case where each site configures independently there really isn’t anything to do except make sure there is no conflicting code. BTW I don’t think there is.
Cheers
Mike
I’ve been trying to add the tagwrap html5 tags plugin to the standard WP tinymce config. I noticed you had 2 different versions – the original on SourceForge and the one that comes with the plugin.
The Sourceforge (php) version gets past the tags list window to a tag window but dies on insert.
The tagwrap extracted from the WP plugin gets past the tags list window but shows an empty tag window.
Is their an easy way to do this? It seems that the php version is close.
Thanks
Mike
Hey Mike,
Would you mind doing be a favor, and jumping over to my Support Forum. I’d like to keep a record over there of any issues such as these.
Thank you!
Thanks Mike!! Please allow me a few days to take a look at multisite.. and get a “plan of action” laid out. If I haven’t responded, please check up on my progress after a few days. Thanks!
Hi Josh
Perhaps before you get started, I will send you a message via your contact page about what I am doing. I would like to help you develop your HTML5 tags. I saw your calculation about the potential options but in reality it should be a lot simpler.
Cheers
Mike
I downloaded Ultimate Tinymce (wanted to create a table) and don’t know what happened but I lost my Edit (code) label for all pages and blogs. Only the Visual tab is seen. And also,, I am stuck with a strange configuration on my blog page that I find it impossible to delete. http:/www.vasierraclub.org/chesapeake
I had planned on buying the Pro version but not with this much grief.
Hello Dottie, I apologize for the troubles. If you care to use my contact form in the main navigation menu, I’ll gladly take a personal look at this for you and help you get it resolved. Also, please feel free to use my Support Forum for these types of issues.. as you will get a much faster response. I’ll be waiting to hear from you.. and thank you very much for contacting me regarding this matter.
Is there any button in Basic or Pro that allows unique bullets for lists? I haven’t seen anything in Basic, and I don’t know what additional items are available in Pro.
Hi,
Yes, there is a button for letting you specify a path to a list image. It is in the “styleprops” button… and the “list” tab in the popup window. Here is a link for reference:
http://utmce.joshlobe.com/button-definitions/#styleprops
Hi Josh, I am considering moving my website from Microsoft Expression to WordPress. As I do this, I’ve created temporary WordPress installs to allow for my mistakes, deleting and recreating fresh installs to become familiar with WordPress before I fully transition my live site to WordPress. Once I do transition over to WordPress, I will likely keep a temporary install/directory for testing purposes in addition to the live root directory/install.
Is the UTinyPro single site install license sufficient or do I require the multisite license?
Any problems or concerns with deleting WordPress installs and reinstalling UTinyPro?
Appreciate the help and look forward to your response. Best -Dan
Hello BostonDan,
In your specific case… a single-site license will be fine. As long as the site is intended as a “test site” of the main site… you are free to use the single-site license of the plugin in both versions of your website. The plugin will function exactly the same in both sites.. and you will not be limited in any way, whatsoever.
Hi,
when activating your Ultimate TinyMCE it is not possible anymore to use the XML-RPC. Apps give you the hint, that there are not valid data. I really do like your Ultimate TinyMCE but it is a no-go for I often have to use other apps. Pleeeeeaaaaase fix it!
cheers Marc
Hi Marc,
What exactly is the “XML-RPC” you speak of?
Hi Josh,
Can you elaborate on the difference between “multi-site” and “developer” licenses? It’s a little ambiguous to me the way you explain it so tersely.
So, if I make WordPress sites for clients and want to use UTMCE Pro, I can use the “multi-site” license? i.e. the usage would be for multiple single site installations.
Or do you mean that it will work with a WordPress “multi-site” installation or if I personally have a number of sites I can use it on all of my individual sites?
For the “Developer” and “sites for sale” Does this mean I need a Developer license if I have clients for whom I make WordPress websites and I want to add UTMCE Pro to their sites? Or does this mean if I I develop a WordPress “package” of a custom or premium theme and or integrated plugins (ala something like Thesis or Genesis, etc.) and sell that as a product, then I need the Developer license?
Sorry if I’m making it like “what is is”, I just think it needs to be defined crystal clearly.
Thanks!
Ken
Oops! I forgot other questions re UTMCE Pro.
When UTMCE Pro is purchased are you entitled to support and updates for a year? Forever? If support and updates must be renewed, what is the fee schedule?
If I use UTMCE Pro on a client’s site, but then for whatever reason that client and I terminate our working relationship. Is that client still entitled to updates? This would be whether or not I continue to use UTMCE Pro.
Thanks!
Ken
Forever. I NEVER charge additional fees for support, installation issues, or anything else plugin related. There are no subscription fees.. no support fees.. no upgrade fees… no additional fees WHATSOEVER!!
If you purchase the developers license… and install the PRO version on a clients site… they will have support and upgrades forever… regardless of what happens between the two of you. There is no way I would ever be able to keep track of all that.. and it’s easier from my end to just provide free support to everyone who has acquired the plugin.
Hi Ken, and thanks very much for your interest!!
Okay.. if you are going to be installing Ultimate Tinymce PRO onto sites you will be selling to clients.. then you will need the developers license. This is because all those people who now have the plugin… I will be providing ongoing support… updates… etc.
However, if you are using it on YOUR own sites… then the multi-site license will suffice. This is because you are still one customer… but you may be using it on an unlimited number of sites.
Does this help to clarify?
This is one of the best and total productive plugins I use in my website. So, I must thank you about availability of a free and a paid version. Keep working!!!
Finally, I’d like to suggest you an idea. I like to use the module “QR Code – Take this post Mobile!”, but as I work in Spanish, I always translate this string, but everytime you put an update I have to do the work again. Maybe you can include the option to translate thtis string permanently as it happens with the text inside this module.
Thanks a lot!!!
Luis Espinoza
Hi Luis.. and Thank You Very Much!!!
Yes.. the QR Code feature needs a makeover. This is definitely on our list of to-do’s. I will hope to have it “madeover” by the time of our next plugin update. Expect more features.. more control.. and more awesomeness!!
Finally, an editor that really helps me! I literally know nothing about HTML beyond what I can guess or by trial and error, but I feel I really need to provide important health information and support for others that suffer with chronic pain or depression as I do since I was crushed in Sept of 1999 and lost the use of my legs and partial upper extremities!
I downloaded the editor about a week ago and really enjoy using it. There are still a few things that I am testing and playing around with. I am the only person running the whole support site and I fund the whole site, storage, design, information etc. It can get expensive as I am restricted on placing ads on the site for my “Quality on Health Information” certification. I was thinking about upgrading to Pro but I don’t really need all the extra features and my disability funds only go so far. If I just purchased the individual features do they just add into the installation or is there more I would have to figure out to make them work?
Thank you so much for doing this work, I know how much time and personal investment goes into developing this stuff, it most definitely saves me a great deal of time and energy which is already quite limited from my injuries!
Hi Summer,
I would be happy to work with you regarding the plugins. Please use my contact form at the top of the page (in the navigation menu) to send me a personal email. We can continue our conversation there.
Thanks so much for all your kind words!!
I installed Ultimate TinyMCE Pro for my Website today. I liked it a lot. Thank you. I enabled the Youtube button on the editor. But I see this error message, inside the Youtube insert box, when I are inserting URL of Youtube videos: “Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter – headers already sent (output started at /hermes/bosweb/web111/b1118/ipw.aafmuaor/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-tinymce/addons/youtube/youtube.php:5) in /hermes/bosweb/web111/b1118/ipw.aafmuaor/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/events-manager/classes/em-notices.php on line 11″. Here is the screenshot of the error message: http://aafmua.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/youtube.jpg. Please advise on how to correct this problem. Thank you very much in advance.
I think if you deactivate the “Events Manager” plugin… and then manually empty and clear your browser cache… then try again… and see what happens. If it loads okay… then you know it was the plugin. If it still conflicts.. please let me know.
I would go for the PRO version – however I would recommend ( ? ) request a new service…
It is really great the option to extend the “VISUAL” editor on wordpress… but Im working most of the projects with “HTML” -would be appretiated if your plugin ( may be the PRO version ) extends thats features…
Is it avalaible, or was a silly question… ?
Thanks
Hello Jean-Pierre,
Can you please be more specific of what instance you are talking about? Do you mean like the “profile description” editor? The way I call these additional editor instances is by using the wp_editor function… which has an option to show both the “visual” and “html” tabs. So, where exactly is the “html” tab not appearing?
Thanks!
Nit picking: The feature comparison table says “Ad and Branding free”, but I tend to read “X free” as “X included free”. My preference is the phrasing “No ads nor branding”.
Noted
Above you mention “I updated the Image Manager addon… so that each user has their own unique storage location.”
You should make clear in your description of the Image Manager that this is how it behaves. We’ve been using NEXTGEN Gallery specifically so people can share the folders based upon the types of images (ie, images for slideshow of apples, folder of icons for menus, etc), so when people are choosing image-handling plugins they will need to know what kind of behavior to expect from your image manager
Your image manager is user-oriented, not purpose/meaning oriented. This will work fine for sites where users use wide variety of images and rarely repeat an image (ie, a blog such as Cake Wrecks or one which talks about current news). Sites which want to group images in various ways will want other tools.
This variety of purposes is not uncommon. “Social” plugins have a similar problem, where some social plugins are for sharing stuff (“share this post with your friends”) while others are for directing people to a person’s social presence (“here are links to my Facebook and Twitter pages”).
I don’t know if there are tag phrases being used in WP plugins to identify these different types of image organization — you’ll want to check when updating your plugin description.
Gah. Again I say “above” when the comments are shown in a different sequence than oldest-above.
If you follow along with the changelog.. you will understand exactly how each of the features functions. However, it’s a moot point as WP has required me to temporarily remove this feature because of a possible security vulnerability in one of the uploader files used for the images. Until this file is deemed secure… the feature has been removed.
The latest Changelog mentions image directories, but I do not see a description of that feature here. We’re using NEXTGEN Gallery on several sites because its gallery folders are useful for organizing images and slideshows. Do your new image directories (or TMCE image selection) interact with NGG, and what features (such as directory galleries or slideshows) does TMCE support?
Yes.. this is the task I am working on at the moment. I released the first “beta” in my lite version of Ultimate Tinymce… but some people are having issues. So, I need to redo my code and make sure it’s working for everyone.
Once I get the lite version done.. I’ll release the “Tinymce Image Manager” in the PRO version of the plugin. This one is much more feature-packed and has many more options.
I would guess it will take a week at the most before both are fully functional.
I don’t see any image handling documentation, so it is not safe for me to update the lite version on a production site — and an update is the only suggested way to access the description of the image handling.
But it sounds like you’re reinventing the wheel, so we’ll have to test lite before using it, and before advising clients which features to use. Can the Admin disable the new TMCE image handling?
My apologies, Scotty… I just noticed this additional comment.
I’m currently working on an interface which would let the admin “choose” which buttons are available to each of the user groups. This is going to be my next major task after releasing the new Drag and Drop feature (Days away now!!).
Also.. I updated the Image Manager addon… so that each user has their own unique storage location. This means, that if user1 logs in and uploads a photo… user2 will never be able to view that photo. The same applies for created directories and deleted directories. Basically, each user has their own Image Manager.
Regarding the documentation… this was originally designed as an addon for Tinymce.. and was in the Russian language. It took me a while to make it work with WordPress.. and there is NO documentation for this anywhere.
So, I’ll need to create my own documentation (there is a little in the plugin) and “users guide” if that is something you are interested in having… and make it publicly available.
Hey – Looks cool.
I am using the free version and want to be able to use the CSS classes from my theme’s stylesheet.
Which plugin do I need? Can I just buy the Ultimate Tinymce Classes and IDs or do I need Ultimate Tinymce PRO too?
Many thanks
)
Chris
Hi Chris… and thanks!
Well, honestly you don’t want to just import your theme’s stylesheet. Instead, you want to go through it and “customize” it to the editor’s standards. Then, when you apply it to the editor… it will reduce the errors and incompatibilities.
You don’t need the PRO version (unless you really want it
to use any of my additional addons. They will all work independently.
Regarding your question… if you would like the styles available in a dropdown… I would suggest going with the “Classes and ID’s” addon. Just keep in mind… for optimum results… it’s going to require a little tweaking. It’s not just a simple copy and paste. But, when you’ve done it right… OH MAN!! What a beauty
Josh-
Dude! You are absolutely insane, you know that, right? Pretty soon we won’t even need a theme for our WP site. Just install UTMCE Pro, and set up a site.
I love the new Image Manager. Haven’t spent a lot of time with it yet. But I’m sure I will be using it extensively. Great work man!
Johnny
Lmao… thanks, Johnny
That’s too funny! You know… this tinymce editor is pretty amazing. I never really used it prior to WP, but I’m unlocking new doors every day! I agree, the new Image Manager is BAD A**! It took me a while to figure out how to integrate it into WP… but when it finally “clicked”, I think you could hear the excitement three streets over
I haven’t had time to do it yet, but I’ll be including Moxiecode’s (tinymce) image manager in my PRO version of the plugin. This one is insane too.. but I’m still working out the last few bugs.
Just to “brag” a little.. the image manager in the basic version is awesome. It creates a new folder in your “wp-content/uploads” directory. From here, you can take total control over the file structure, directory tree, and image management… all from within the tinymce editor. How cool is that??
Thanks for your support, Johnny!!
Hi. Includes Ultimate Tinymce PRO the predefined styles plugin, and can you insert text box that can you to custom its form?. I’m spanish and I’m lerning English language. Thanks and Cheers!
Well, the Predefined Styles is not included in the PRO version… only the Google Fonts addon is included. However, you can send me an email using the “Contact” tab above… and we can work something out.
Hi Josh
I like the basic version except for the very limited number of buttons in full screen mode. Does the pro version improve this? Alternatively, is there a way of making all buttons visible in full screen mode in the basic version?
Thanks
Loene
Hello Loene,
Thank you. No, the pro version is the same in that regard. I certainly don’t mind making the modifications in the PRO version for this feature… however, the WP core team is discussing modifications to this feature as well. In all honesty, it would be better for me to wait and see what they decide before digging into it too far.
I’ll look into the process and get familiar with the code for the full screen mode. But, just to make sure we’re talking about the same thing… which “full screen” mode are you referring? I believe there are two.
Thanks for the quick reply Josh. The full screen mode I have access to is achieved by clicking a little box with an arrow pointing to each corner. Also achievable by alt+shift+G. Does that help distinguish?
Great, yes.. that’s the one I assumed you meant… just wanted to make sure. Okay, lemme tinker with it and I’ll let you know what I find out. Please use my contact form in the main menu to send me a personal email message. I would prefer not to clutter this comment section with support requests. We can move forward via email.
Thanks!
Multi-site licenses at $149.95.
Please is it for life with updates or for one year updates ?
Hello Guy,
The price includes updates for life… or until I go out first
Yeah, I don’t know what this whole “one-year” thing is all about?! But my support and upgrades are free forever. There are not any additional or hidden fees of any sorts.
Josh, I’m confused by the offering of Ultimate Tinymce PRO.
Is that just a souped-up version of the Basic Tinymce PRO, or does it include the Add-ons?
I’m particularly interested in adding my own custom styles to the editor –styles to match the theme.
On another level, though I can appreciate the work put into this plugin, the pricing seems to be a bit steep–especially compared to the awesome theme I’m using –Weaver ii Pro — from Bruce Weaver.
If your pricing were a bit more competitive, I could envision your plugin becoming wildly popular and thus actually providing more income than your current pricing schedule.
Inge
Hello Inge,
The Tinymce PRO is souped-up yes… but it also includes new features not available in the basic version. I will also be re-doing the basic version… marking the features which will only be available in the PRO version. Some of these features include the ability to use the Ultimate Tinymce editor in profile description fields and tag description fields.
The PRO version also includes the Google Webfonts premium addon. This is the only premium addon included as of yet. I think adding the Custom Styles to the PRO version may be a good idea.. and I might consider this in the very near future.
Now… regarding the pricing. I agree the PRO version is a little steep as seen currently. However, I have been paying some professional developers (I won’t mention my cost), to implement an interface for customizing the button rows. This is something Tinymce Advanced attempted… but I have taken it to a new level. There is NO other plugin out there which will have this interface. It is in the last stages of testing and de-bugging… and should be implemented in less than a week. This is the selling point which will distinguish Ultimate Tinymce PRO from any other plugin available on the market.
Now, I am currently running a promo for a 25% discount. And I do this from time to time. Yes, I may sell more if I were to drop the price.. and it’s certainly a possibility. However, right now I’m testing the market and honestly saw no difference with a ten dollar decrease in price. But, I’m keeping my eyes (and ears) open.
Additionally, I offer an affiliate program. This allows you to make 30% of any sales you send my way. So, in this regard, the pricing can actually benefit you.
So… that’s where I’m at. I appreciate your kind words. And, this plugin (although almost one year old) is still an infant… and will be growing rapidly in the future.
Hope this helps… sorry for my ranting
Just a quick comment on the pricing…
I seriously don’t understand why people complain about $150 for a developer / multi-site license! I’ve seen many consultants charge that for one hour of their time. When you look at the functionality you’re getting for such a small amount of money, it’s insane! If you’re that concerned, get a single site license (at $40 each, you would have to have four sites before you justify the cost of multi-site).
Josh is putting in serious effort that is saving all of us uncounted hours of struggling with a sub-par editor. Don’t give the man grief for wanting to make a living!
Oh.. and if you are interested in the additional features of the PRO version… I can add the Custom Styles in the package for you. Just use my contact “tab” in my nav menu… and send me a message.
TY for the tip about single spacing.. OMG I have been trying to figure that little bugger out forever!!!
Since that is out of the way.. How about Centering Text and tables?? I still have great difficulty with this.. Is there a tip or trick for this or is this included with the Pro version?
Thank you! Feels good… doesn’t it
The tables addon is the same in both the free version and the Pro version. And I’m pretty sure there is a way to edit cell properties.. and set the alignment to center. Have you used the tables button in Ultimate Tinymce?
I have actually, I can center the tables content.. but not the table itself. within the page
oh and yes feels most fabulous!~!!! HOORAY!!
Okay. Let’s go ahead and tackle this over on my support forum. If you haven’t registered… go ahead, and post your question there for me. That way, it will help others who might have the same question in the future.
http://forum.joshlobe.com
Does the pro version include the custom styles option? That’s what I’m really interested in, but I would up my request for grant funds to cover the PRO version if it’s included.
I’m sorry, currently the PRO version does not include the custom styles plugin. However, if you are interested in purchasing the PRO version… I’m sure we can work out a deal on the custom styles. You may contact my using the “Contact” tab in the main navigation menu to send me a personal email message. Mention this comment, and the link, and I’ll speak with you more there.
Josh,
UTMCE is more than I need; however, I have a question about plain vanilla TMCE–I hope that you don’t mind me asking it here:
In HTML mode, the default behavior of the Tiny MCE editor after hitting a return is single spacing;
in Visual mode, it is double spacing. Is there a way to make it single spacing in both modes?
Thank you!
Martin
Hi Martin,
Here is a little known secret…
When you are in the visual editor, hitting the return key will give you a double space. However, if you hold the “shift” key while hitting return, you will get a single space.
Hope this helps you!
Hi Josh,
thank! I actually did know this–however, I would like to change the default behavior. The forum is a poetry board, and people often paste in preprepared texts. If they do this in Visual mode, the pasted text is double spaced.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. The wordpress codex seems to have something on this issue: http://codex.wordpress.org/TinyMCE but I am afraid that
I don’t know enough to use this information.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Martin
Are there any theme comparability issues that one would need to be aware of ? I am using Dejavu Theme by http://www.mysitemyway.com
Sincerely,
Joe Johnson
Hi Joe.
No, there should not be any theme-dependent compatibility issues. The PRO version should work on every theme available.
Do you have any videos or educational tutorials on how to get the most of this plugin?
I’m contemplating going Pro.
Thanks.
Hello Luis, and thanks for your interest!
Actually, I am working on a HUGE tutorials section. You can find the link at the top of this website. It currently doesn’t have any tutorials, but this is where I will be adding them in the future. Also, be sure to add me to twitter and follow my youtube (bottom of this site) to get automatically notified when I publish a new video.
I have partnered with a gentleman from Australia to help with this plugin… which will free some of my time to focus on tutorial videos, sample posts, and demonstrations. I do currently have quite a few videos on youtube… but there is no “organization” to them. Which is why I am building the “Tutorials” section on this site. It will be easier for users to navigate and find the exact tutorial to help them with their needs.
Josh,
I recently purchased your plugin bundle multisite and am wondering if there would be a better price for UTMCE PRO multisite? Also, will there be any support of leading (line spacing) and custom color text outlines?
Thanks for all your great work and dedication!
Hi Gene, and thanks for the kind words.
Honestly, I’m still slightly “brain-dead” from my move… but I’m getting back into the groove. Yes, send me a personal message and I’ll offer you a discounted price because of the bundle purchase.
The line spacing and color text outlines… I’m not sure I follow. Send me a personal message… and we can continue from there. Thanks!
Can you give a few more deets about the GoogleWebFonts in the pro version. Would it mean that I could just choose a Google font from a drop down list instead of having to go install them and muck about with my CSS? I luv your plug-in but a lot of the options are over my head (don’t use cuz don’t understand and/or my needs are pretty basic).
Thank you!
Rainbow Blessings!
Hi, and thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, no. There is not a way to make it a dropdown. The trick with Google Fonts is knowing which ones the user wants to use. To create a dropdown, I’d have to include every google font… which is completely unrealistic for many different reasons.
You don’t really have to “muck about” in css. The plugin does this for you. The only thing you need to do is choose your fonts over at google.. and simply copy and paste the code they generate for you. I’ll try to make a demo of this here so you can see what I’m talking about.
This sounds great Josh! It figures that I just bought the multi-site Google fonts addon this morning!
Ken
Hi Ken,
I’d be happy to credit the cost of the Google Webfonts toward the Pro version if you are interested. You will not need the Google Webfonts addon with the Pro version… so of course I will credit the difference should you choose to go pro. Just send me a message using the contact form on this site, and I’ll adjust the cost.
I have to admit I am a bit pissed off and so will my partner be, since the buying decision was specifically based upon your advertised statement:
SPECIAL DISCOUNT OFFER
If you are interested in all of my plugins, you may purchase the bundle for a special discounted price (25% off). The bundle may be purchased as single site licenses or multi site licenses.
It does very specifically state, “If you are interested in all of my plugins, you may purchase the bundle”! This is extremely misleading, probably criminal, and at the very least it will probably earn you to the long list of scammers on the net these days.
I have no idea what my partner will do, besides blow up over this, but if we were to take you up on this nefarious offer, EXACTLY what would the additional cost be to finally get our multisite copy of the Ultimate TinyMCE Pro pacakge??
Hello Ken, and first let me apologize for the delay in my response. I have been moving.
Okay, let’s begin with your tone. It’s all wrong. Please, do not, post any such comment on my personal sites. If you have an issue with one of my plugins, contact me personally. That is why I have included my personal contact information inside the plugin admin page.
Now, if you click on the plugin on my sales page, you will see it takes you to a page where each individual item included in the bundle is listed. I am not out to “trick” anyone, and I stand behind my products 100%. There are no “gimmicks” or “hidden clauses”. I am professional, and aim to keep my products that way. I do see your misinterpretation (although no one else has mentioned this), and I will go back and adjust the wording.
Lastly, if you are unhappy with your purchase, I will be happy to issue you a refund. Alternatively, since you feel I have personally attempted to inflict “damage” to you, your partner, or your website… I’ll offer you the pro version of the plugin for free. Simply use my contact form on the tabs above to send me a personal email message.
I do appreciate your support (financially) with the plugin bundle and my work. It helps tremendously!! And I want you to not only be happy with your purchase… but also to have fun with it and use it to open new doors for unique content creation!!
So, use my contact form and let me know how you would like to proceed.
Thank you very much.
hey Josh, is multisite needed for sub blogs if domain name is one primary domain? I’m using multisite to organize band page etc. Thanks, David
Hi David,
Yes, the multi-site is needed for this circumstance. However, if you would like to shoot me a personal email… and perhaps blog about the Pro version… I’m sure we can work something out!
Can you add a comparison table for the versions of the Ultimate TinyMCE so that it helps see what you get over the free version.
Thanks
Absolutely! I am going to spend this weekend getting videos, demonstrations, and a comparison chart
I’ve already begun a “What’s New” section on the Ultimate Tinymce Pro plugin page… and I’ll add a chart to that over the weekend. Thank you for the suggestion!
So the $40 and the $150 IS the introductory price?
I hope not cos that’s a lot of money, as plugins go!
I have been using another, went to install it on a new site and found yours.
The other will be replaced on all my sites and I’m telling my friends. However the pricing point needs a review IMHO.
There is absolutely no question that the editor with Wordress SUCKS HUGELY!!!
Yours is definitely the best replacement and I wish you well with it.
Noted. I am sorry you feel the cost is too high… however, this plugin is going to become the best visual editor plugin yet
I am getting ready to spend $400 on a professional programmer to help me implement this awesome drag and drop I’ve been working on for two months. No more dropdown selectors… purely visual interface. But this is a cost to me. I wish I could offer the plugin for free… I really do… but it’s simply not practical for me.
I can try to help you financially if you are extremely interested in the plugin… but I can’t sell it for ten bucks
I think that is harsh. A one click install plugin, a free content management system and the bulk of the other plugins for free and you think 40$ is to much to pay for one plugin that allows you to design your text layout without learning html. I have created a gig guide using the comments box and I am waiting for Josh to get the comments editor working to replace it. That is all I need the plugin for and will be happy to pay 40$. I am English so that is £25 in our currency. Most Web Designers in this country charge £50 an hour. You try coding this plugin in half an hour. It’s a no brainer. Let me know when you get the comments editor working Josh, I will be happy to pay for it.
Martyn
Wow… and another “homerun” struck from the dugout
Thanks Martyn, for your support! And you are definitely correct in your statements. I’m getting ready to shell out $750 (usd) to get this drag and drop functionality which is so desperately needed by many users. So custom coding definitely adds up quickly!
Regarding the comment editor… you bet. I’m actually going to be focusing on this in the very near future. Again… thank you!
Josh,
I am definitely interested in this, and I have a multi-site installation. Any idea how long the introductory pricing is going on? I would have a much easier time paying for it after the 15th of this month.
No worries at all. If the price changes, just send me a personal email using the contact form above. I’ll most likely leave the price where it is until the end of the month.
